Jeremy Clarkson houdt woord en bezorgt Alpine liters bier

Het team van Alpine heeft bezoek gekregen van een bijzondere naam. Voormalig Top Gear-presentator Jeremy Clarkson bezocht de fabriek van het team om een opvallende belofte na te komen. Clarkson had namelijk beloofd dat hij Alpine bier zou geven als Esteban Ocon op het podium zou eindigen in Monaco.

Tijdens de Grand Prix van Monaco moedigde Clarkson het team van Alpine hartstochtelijk aan op Twitter. De Britse presentator van The Grand Tour en Clarkson's Farm twitterde dat hij bier zou kopen voor het hele team als Ocon op het podium zou eindigen. Ocon werd derde en Clarkson hield zijn woord. Samen met zijn crew van Clarkson's Farm bezocht hij de Alpine-fabriek.

Op sociale media deelt Alpine beelden van de bijzondere ontmoeting. Clarkson arriveerde op zijn tractor en hij had een ontmoeting met Ocon en de rest van het team. De presentator deelde het bier uit en sprak uitgebreid met Ocon en teambaas Otmar Szafnauer. Alpine maakte van de gelegenheid gebruik en parkeerde zelfs een Formule 1-wagen naast de tractor van Clarkson.
