Vettel maakt Red Bull-comeback bij speciaal event op Nürburgring

Sebastian Vettel is al ruim een half jaar met pensioen, maar dat betekent niet dat hij stil zit. De Duitse coureur houdt zich op de achtergrond bezig met een aantal projecten en kruipt binnenkort wederom achter het stuur van een Formule 1-bolide. Zijn voormalige werkgever Red Bull Racing heeft namelijk iets bijzonders bedacht.

Vettel zal op 9 september in actie komen tijdens de Red Bull Formula Nürburgring. Hij zal plaatsnemen in zijn kampioenswagen uit 2011. De wagen zal gaan rijden op e-fuels, een brandstof die Vettel aan de man probeert te brengen. De Duitse viervoudig wereldkampioen zal op de Nordschleife gaan rijden, net als Red Bull-reserve Daniel Ricciardo. Vettel komt volgende maand eerst nog in actie tijdens het Goodwood Festival of Speed.
