Red Bull vergroot line-up voor demoruns Nordschleife: Tsunoda sluit aan met Honda GT3-auto

De aankomende 12 uren van Nurburgring zal zoals gewoonlijk een groot racefestijn worden, en de fans zullen in het weekend van 9 en 10 september meer dan genoeg te zien hebben. Naast de aanwezigheid van zowel Daniel Ricciardo als Sebastian Vettel weten Red Bull en AlphaTauri te melden dat F1-coureur Yuki Tsunoda ook bij de legendarische langeafstandsrace aanwezig zal zijn.

Naast de endurancerace op het circuit met de bijnaam The Green Hell zal er een uitgebreid voorprogramma te zien zijn. F1-team Red Bull kondigde eerder al aan dat Sebastian Vettel en Daniel Ricciardo een aantal shows zullen geven, en nu weet zusterteam AlphaTauri er nog een schepje bovenop te doen.

F1-coureur Yuki Tsunoda is namelijk de aangewezen man om bovenstaande coureurs te vergezellen, en wel in een spectaculaire machine. In zijn Honda NSX GT3 Evo zal de Japanse jongeling over de Nordschleife mogen scheuren, waar hij het publiek op verschillende demo's zal trakteren. Tsunoda laat weten met smart naar het evenement in september uit te kijken:

"Ik heb nog nooit op de Nurburgring gereden, dus ik kijk zeker uit naar het evenement in september. Ik kan niet wachten om het circuit in mijn Honda NSX GT3 Evo te verkennen, een geweldige auto die al heeft laten zien om op het hoogste niveau in GT3-wereld mee te kunnen doen. De Nordschleife is een legendarisch circuit. Ik heb de baan al op het videospel Gran Turismo kunnen ervaren, en heb er toen ook al van genoten. Ik kijk er naar uit."

  ik ken die baan ook helemaal uit mijn hoofd. wel 300 keer gereden, wel een link baantje(nee niet in het echt maar op de sim).

  het is inderdaad een ´geheugen´ baan. ik kan hem dromen, en zal daarom minder fouten maken. hij is wel akelig lang. maar ik kan iedere bocht dromen.

  Ik kan je verklappen dat ervaring in een sim je wel een indruk geeft maar in het echt is dat misschien juist wel een nadeel omdat je het denkt te weten. De hoogteverschillen en wegvallende stukken baan krijg je niet echt een goede indruk van in een sim, en ook de griplevels verschillen nogal eens afhankelijkvan het tijdstip en de tijd van het jaar.. Ik ben er vroeger regelmatig geweest om touristenfahrten te doen. Het was zo erg dat mijn daily driver eigenlijk een trackday auto was voor de nordschleife 😂 de prijzen waren toen trouwens een stuk vriendelijker.
