Weerupdate: Wisselvallig weer op de Red Bull Ring

Over iets minder dan een uur gaat de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk op de Red Bull Ring van start. De coureurs zullen een blik op de weerradar houden, gisteren regende het immers in Stiermarken. Het lijkt erop dat het vandaag ook weer kan gaan druppelen en dus moet men goed opletten.

De Sprint Shootout en de Sprint werden gisteren verreden onder wisselende omstandigheden. De coureurs kozen in de Shootout massaal voor de slicks, maar enkele uren later was het andere koek in de Sprint. De coureurs begonnen de Sprint op de inters en veel van hen kozen daarna voor de slicks omdat de baan begon op te drogen.

Vandaag wordt er geen hevige regenval verwacht op de Red Bull Ring. Toch heeft het zojuist eventjes geregend op het circuit, de regen was niet hard maar zorgde er wel voor dat alles een beetje nat werd. Later trokken de buien weer weg en werd het weer droog. Op de weerradars zijn momenteel geen grote buien te zien, maar in de onvoorspelbare Alpen kan het op elk moment zomaar gaan regenen. De teams zullen dan ook goed moeten opletten.
