Rallylegende Loeb gaat Dakar Rally rijden met Dacia

De legendarische Dakar Rally staat bekend als één van de zwaarste autosportevenementen van het jaar. Veel autofabrikanten zien de rally dan ook als een uitdaging en trekken vaak naar de woestijn om voor de zege te vechten. Vanaf 2025 gaat een opvallend automerk deelnemen aan de rally met een sterke line-up.

Het van oorsprong Roemeense automerk Dacia gaat vanaf 2025 namelijk deelnemen aan de Dakar Rally en het World Rally-Raid Championship van de FIA. Met welke auto ze dat gaan doen is nog niet duidelijk, maar ze hebben wel al twee stercoureurs aangekondigd. Rallylegende Sebastien Loeb en het aanstormende Spaanse talent Cristina Gutierrez zullen voor Dacia gaan rijden. Loeb rijdt momenteel in datzelfde kampioenschap voor Prodrive en zal dus per 2025 de overstap gaan maken. Dit jaar deden ook Audi en Toyota mee aan de Dakar Rally.
