Horner: "Red Bull Racing is nu hét fabrieksteam van Renault"

Het team van Red Bull Racing is uitgegroeid tot de belangrijkste afnemer van Renault-motoren. Die conclusie trekt teambaas Christian Horner naar aanleiding van het nieuwe vijfjarige contract met de Franse autofabrikant.

Hoewel Lotus Renault GP nog de naam Renault voor het chassis hanteert is het al lang niet meer een fabrieksteam. En ondanks het feit dat Williams historisch gezien goede banden met Renault onderhoudt en volgend jaar de relatie nieuw leven in wordt geblazen, ziet Red Bull Racing zichzelf als het lievelingetje van de Fransen.

Horner: De samenwerking met de Renault/Nissan-alliantie is belangrijk voor onze renstal. Het garandeert stabiliteit en maakt ons de voornaamste afnemer van Renault-motoren en hét fabrieksteam van Renault Sport. De collega's die de motoren produceren zullen hand in hand samenwerken met de engineers en techneuten van Red Bull Racing.
