AlphaTauri introduceert enorm updatepakket in Silverstone

Veel teams nemen dit weekend grote updates mee naar het circuit van Silverstone. De Britse baan is geen onbekend terrein voor de teams en is daardoor de ideale plek voor een grote hoeveelheid nieuwe onderdelen. Het team van AlphaTauri introduceert dit weekend het grootste updatepakket.

Uit de documenten van de FIA blijkt dat het Italiaanse zusterteam van Red Bull Racing een enorme hoeveelheid onderdelen heeft vervangen voor de Britse Grand Prix. Het team van coureurs Nyck de Vries en Yuki Tsunoda introduceert een nieuwe vloer, diffuser, ophanging, achtervleugel en nieuw bodywork. Meerdere andere teams nemen ook onderdelen mee, maar niet zoveel als AlphaTauri.

Het team van Mercedes introduceert dit weekend een nieuwe voorvleugel. Het onderdeel werd op donderdag al gespot in de pitlane en het is de verwachting dat er voor de zomerstop nog meer updates worden geïntroduceerd door de Duitse renstal. Het team van Ferrari neemt dit weekend geen nieuwe onderdelen mee, Red Bull Racing past alleen een paar onderdelen aan gericht op het circuit van Silverstone. Ook de teams van McLaren en Alfa Romeo nemen dit weekend veel nieuwe onderdelen mee.

Viaplay Nederland heeft ernstige en acute liquiditeitsproblemen. Zoals vandaag uitgebreid in de media wordt gemeld heeft Viaplay de aanschaf van meerdere Nederlandse series geheel afgeblazen en trekken ze investeringen terug.

    Gelet op de recente uitspraken over een toekomstig, nauwere samenwerking tussen RBR en AT zou ik als de FIA was goed controleren of dit niet gewoon eigenlijk een RB18 is met AT livery ;-)

    Volgens de geruchten die ik heb gehoord (sorry geen bron) heeft Viaplay een deal gesloten met Ziggo. Na de zomerstop neemt Ziggo de verslaggeving rondom de races met commentaar van Olav en Jack weer over. Dit gebeurt vanuit NL. Ook gaat het Racecafé de voor- en nabeschouwing overnemen. Dit wordt dan bij Viaplay uitgezonden als alternatief voor hun eigen studio uitzendingen. Tom Coronel en Giedo vd Garde keren o.a. ook terug bij Ziggo als analist. Wel blijft het huidige Viaplay team de verslaggeving ter plaatse verzorgen. Jack keert nu dus niet direct terug als pitreporter, maar zal meer als een soort boordradio’s beluisteraar fungeren. Voor het huidige Nederlandse studioteam geld dat ze wel in dienst blijven bij Viaplay, maar er gekeken gaat worden of, hoe en waar ze binnen de organisatie kunnen blijven werken. Naar verluid neemt Ziggo m.i.v. volgend jaar de F1 rechten weer volledig over

      Ik hoop dat dit een zeer verlate (en slechte) 1 april grap is, eerlijk gezegd.
      Wat ik tot dusver gelezen heb geldt dit mogelijke scenario (...) voor vanaf 2025.
