Hamilton naar stewards voor persconferentiefoutje

Lewis Hamilton moet zich al voor de start van de sessies melden bij de stewards. De Britse Mercedes-coureur mag zich vandaag melden voor een overtreding die hij maakte voorafgaand de persconferentie op de donderdag. Het zal hem waarschijnlijk geen grote straf opleveren.

Hamilton moet zich namelijk bij de stewards melden omdat hij te laat arriveerde bij de persconferentie. Dit is mogelijk in strijd met de sportieve reglementen van de Formule 1. Het levert hem vermoedelijk geen enorme straf op, maar een reprimande of een fikse geldboete zijn zeker niet uitgesloten. Hamilton moet zich voorafgaand de eerste vrije training melden bij de stewards.

      Hoeft niet te gebeuren als ze deze belachelijke regel gewoon niet hebben, he.
      Journalisten horen verslag te doen voor het publiek, maar dat coureurs verplicht wordt gesteld om met ze te praten is net zo belachelijk als zeggen dat ze een voorbeeldfunctie hebben.
      Dat ze in hun sponsorcontract verplichting hebben, ok, maar FIA is organisator van wedstrijden, en die betalen de salarissen van de coureurs niet.
      Sterker nog, ze ontvangen geld van de teams.

      Tja de FIA wil geld verdienen en organiseert de wedstrijden. Als geen enkele coureur komt opdagen is het minder interessant voor het publiek waardoor ze minder geld verdienen. Als de regel er is en je confirmeert je eraan, dan heb je op tijd te zijn. Neemt niet weg dat we de omstandigheden niet kennen waardoor iemand te laat is.

      @M@X. Zo is zoals het gaat idd. Maar een sportbond moet niet hoeven verdienen aan een sport. Ze moeten de wedstrijden organiseren. De deelnemers staan niet in dienst.
      Ze vragen al startgeld aan de teams, en uitzendrechten aan de tv stations.
