McLaren stuurt enorme line-up naar Goodwood Festival of Speed

Gisteren is het wereldberoemde Goodwood Festival of Speed van start gegaan. Het festival trekt altijd veel bezoekers en veel raceteams en autobouwers beklimmen de heuvel met bijzondere auto's. Meerdere Formule 1-teams zijn aanwezig, maar het team van McLaren heeft de meest indrukwekkende line-up.

De Britse renstal is altijd aanwezig op het festival met veel iconische auto's en net zo iconische coureurs. Vandaag komen de Formule 1-mannen nog niet in actie. Gil de Ferran zal plaatsnemen achter het stuur van een M16C en Emanuele Pirro bestuurt de MP4-2. Daarnaast zal Bruno Senna gaan rijden in de MP4-4, de wagen waarmee zijn legendarische oom Ayrton domineerde in de sport.

In het weekend is de line-up nog veel indrukwekkender. McLaren CEO Zak Brown zal zelf gaan rijden met de Austin 7 van teamoprichter Bruce McLaren. Lando Norris zal ook gaan rijden, hij bestuurt een M26. Ook Martin Brundle komt in actie, hij rijdt dan met een MP4-2A. Ook zondag komt Oscar Piastri ook in actie tijdens het festival en verder mag Mika Häkkinen gaan rijden met de wagen waarmee hij wereldkampioen werd in 1999. Ook Emerson Fittipaldi zal weer gaan rijden op Goodwood.
