Update: Goodwood is zaterdag afgelast door slecht weer

Dit weekend vindt het iconische Goodwood Festival of Speed weer plaats. Het evenement trekt veel bekijks, maar de vrijdag werd al verstoord door de regenval. De wagens betraden de hillclimb in kletsnatte omstandigheden en dat kan voor gevaarlijke omstandigheden zorgen. Voor vandaag sturen ze dan ook een waarschuwing rond.

De organisatie van het Festival of Speed plaatste namelijk een statement over de zaterdag op sociale media. Ze geven aan dat ze de weersomstandigheden goed in de gaten blijven houden, er wordt namelijk een flinke hoeveelheid regen voorspeld in de omgeving. De organisatie geeft aan dat de bezoekers alle sociale kanalen goed in de gaten moeten houden voor als het programma wordt aangepast.

Update: Op de late avond kwam de organisatie van het Goodwood Festival of Speed met de mededeling dat de zaterdag van het evenement is afgelast. Niet alleen vanwege de regen, maar vooral vanwege de wind. De zondag gaat wel gewoon door.

Ik zal wel weer een hoop commentaar over me heen krijgen, maar ik kan dit soort dingen niet aanzien. Kan iemand de titel aanpassen. Het werkwoord is niet aflassen of aflasten, maar afgelasten. De titel hoort dus te zijn Goodwood gelast zaterdag af.

    Het zit niet mee voor Goodwood dit weekend, regen en een ongeluk met een los komende band die vol het publiek is ingegaan heeft het feest er minder leuk op gemaakt.

      Als ze gewoon de tekst en titel ter controle door ChatGPT halen, dan is het issue met tenenkrommende spellings- en grammaticafouten verleden tijd. Heb ik mijn proposalteam op het werk ook geïnstrueerd. En het werkt uitstekend. Inclusief verbeteringen zodat langere zinnen beter leesbaar zijn.
      Doen ze hier niet, zoveel is wel duidelijk.
