Het Goodwood Festival of Speed vond afgelopen weekend plaats, en zoals gewoonlijk (en verwacht) was er weer genoeg moois om te zien en te horen. Eén van de vele smaakmakers viel ten name van Sebastian Vettel, die zijn titelwinnende Williams FW14B-auto over het Zuid-Engelse asfalt mocht besturen.

Dat zei Lauda ook over een 10 jaar moderner ding, hij kon er geen ronde mee rijden zonder te spinnen, zijn zelfs beelden van.

      Uhu, zeg dit maar even tegen Charles, die reed zo.n nostalgische bolide van zijn eigen merk de muur in. Vorig jaar was dat in Monaco.

      Voor iemand die zogezegd op hoog niveau gekart heeft, zou je moeten weten dat het niet zo is, want zelfs bij karts weet je dat ze pas vanop een bepaalde snelheid deftig beginnen werken. F1-wagens zijn nog veel gevoeliger aan bandentemperaturen, downforce etc.
