Piastri tevreden over de vrijdag ondanks vloerschade in VT2

Oscar Piastri zat goed in zijn vel op de vrijdag. Onder natte omstandigheden in VT1 glibberde de McLaren-rijder naar de tweede tijd. De goede lijn kon de Australiër niet doortrekken naar de tweede vrije training door vloerschade, maar over het algemeen kijkt de jonge Australiër tevreden terug.

"Vrijdag gedaan, VT1 zag er erg bemoedigend uit in de regen en ondanks een beetje vloerschade voor mezelf in VT2, zagen we er over het algemeen redelijk solide uit." Piastri behaalde een P2 en een P19.

'Ik miste een beetje snelheid in het midden van de tweede sessie vanwege de schade, maar het team heeft geweldig werk geleverd om de auto weer op de baan te krijgen voor waardevolle ronden."

"Ik heb het gevoel dat ik in beide sessies op een redelijke plaats zat, dus daar ben ik redelijk blij mee. We lijken een redelijk tempo te hebben, dus we zullen de gegevens van de ene op de andere dag bekijken en ons voorbereiden op wat zaterdag brengt."
