Ecclestone zet Zuid-Afrika en Mexico op verlanglijstje voor race

Bernie Ecclestone is al druk bezig met de vorming van de Formule 1-kalender voor de toekomst. De commerciële baas van de koningsklasse van de autosport wordt met een Grand Prix in India dit jaar en races in Amerika en Rusland de komende jaren de laatste tijd op zijn wenken bediend.

Ecclestone heeft alweer nieuwe locaties op het oog. Na Rusland zou ik graag naar Zuid-Afrika en Mexico gaan. Beide landen ondernemen initiatieven om iets van de grond te krijgen. En Griekenland probeert ook iets, stelt de Brit in The Independent.

De Formule 1 ondervindt financieel geen nadelige gevolgen van de afgelaste Grand Prix van Bahrein dit jaar. Ecclestone: Ik denk niet dat de inkomsten dalen, ze blijven gelijk omdat we zijn betaald door Bahrein. Ik stelde voor om het geld terug te geven, maar dat hoefde niet.
