Haas ontvangst stevige dubbele boete voor bandenfout

Het team van Haas kende gisteren een kwalificatie met wisselende resultaten. De Amerikaanse renstal zag dat Nico Hülkenberg de tiende tijd wist te noteren in de kwalificatie, maar zag ook dat Kevin Magnussen niet veel verder kwam dan de negentiende tijd. Daarnaast moest de renstal zich ook nog melden bij de stewards.

Het team maakte namelijk een fout bij het terugsturen van de banden naar bandenleverancier Pirelli. De teams zijn verplicht de banden voorafgaand de kwalificatie terug te sturen naar de bandenleverancier. Uit de documenten van de FIA blijkt dat Haas dit op de fysieke manier correct heeft gedaan, maar dat het op de digitale manier niet goed ging. Bij zowel Magnussen als Hülkenberg ging er iets mis bij dit proces. Het levert Haas twee keer een boete van 5000 euro op.

    Nou, dat snijdt wel diep in het beperkte miljoenen budget hoor.
    Administratief foutje, terwijl het fysiek is goed gegaan?
    Dit had met een foei afgekund en kijken waarom Haas 2x dezelfde fout maakt?

    Ook de besten ter wereld kunnen onbedoeld foutjes maken.

    Ja, ook Haas is een topteam vergeleken bij de duizenden raceteams die wereldwijd bestaan en nooit op dit niveau kunnen meedoen
