Albon onthult: "Al sinds april bezig met 2024-auto"

Tijdens de eerste seizoenshelft zetten meerdere teams grote stappen. Bijna elk raceweekend meldde zich een ander team in de voorste regionen van het veld. Het team van Williams kwam ook een paar keer goed voor de dag, maar Alexander Albon geeft aan dat men zich vooral focust op de auto voor 2024.

Het team van Williams ligt op meerdere gebieden ver achter op de concurrentie, maar in de tussenstand is dat niet terug te zien. De legendarische Britse renstal staat op de zevende plaats in het constructeurskampioenschap, ze houden hiermee Haas, Alfa Romeo en AlphaTauri achter zich. Alle punten werden gescoord door Alexander Albon, de Thaise Brit wist meerdere keren te schitteren en vocht regelmatig met coureurs met veel snellere auto's.

McLaren

Albon ziet dat meerdere teams mee hebben gevochten met de topteams. Vlak voor de zomerstop meldde het team van McLaren zich bijvoorbeeld.In gesprek met Speedcafe legt Albon zijn bevindingen uit: "Als je goed luistert naar Lando en Oscar, dan zeggen ze niet dat de performance van hun auto beter is geworden. Er is simpelweg meer downforce bijgekomen. Op dat gebied hebben ze een grote stap gezet, niet op het gebied van hoe de auto rijdt."

2024

Albon verwacht niet dat zijn werkgever Williams het pad van McLaren gaat volgen. De Thai merkt namelijk op dat zijn werkgever zich vooral richt op het aankomende jaar: "Ik ben al sinds april bezig met de auto van volgend jaar op de simulator. We proberen de karakteristieken van de auto te veranderen om de balansproblemen kwijt te raken, daar hebben we als vier of vijf jaar last van. Dat is het punt waar wij ons het meest op focussen."

Hooggehakt en in een opvallend uitdagend maar toch gesoigneerd truitje van Louis Vutton en een beheerste maar toch in het ook springende skinny jeans van Lagerfeld ging Lewis even helemaal los. Hoe ze het in hoofd haalden om al in April met de auto van volgend jaar te beginnen.
Vowles sputterde aanvankelijk nog wat tegen maar viel al snel stil. Wat kon hij ook anders? Hij droeg slechts een pantalon met team overhemd op al vele te vaak gedragen loafers van Paul Smith. Hij werd dan ook snel op zijn plek gezet en beloofde dat ze pas in September 2024 met de 2025 auto zouden gaan beginnen. Een boze blik vol eyeliner deed hem zelfs beloven dat het oktober zou worden.

  Als je Rimmers posts goed leest dan kan je heel vaak zien dat Rimmer Hamilton bij de groten rekent. Deze post is volledig cabaret.
