Imola moet afscheid nemen van populaire mascotte

Sinds de comeback van het circuit van Imola op de Formule 1-kalender in 2020, heeft het circuit een populaire mascotte. Het gaat hier niet om een officiële mascotte, maar om een huisdier uit de omgeving die zich graag liet zien in de paddock. Imola heeft nu echter afscheid moeten nemen van het dier.

De grijze kat met de bijnaam Formulino liet zich tijdens persmomenten zien terwijl hij zich tussen de coureurs begaf. De kat groeide uit tot een fenomeen op sociale media, de Formule 1 sprong hier handig op in en gaf de kat zelfs een speciale pas voor de paddock. Vanuit Imola kwam echter naar buiten dat de kat is overleden, fans reageren verdrietig op sociale media.
