Liuzzi pessimistisch: "Onze auto haat het circuit van Singapore"

HRT-coureur Vitantonio Liuzzi is een beetje bevreesd voor de Grand Prix van Singapore van komend weekend. De auto van de Spaanse renstal kan helemaal niet uit de voeten op een hobbelige stratenparkoers. Het wordt een lang weekend voor Liuzzi.

Mijn grootste zorg is de baan in Singapore, want onze auto haat de karakteristieken van dat circuit, begint de Italiaan tegenover ESPN F1. De wagen reageert niet goed op hobbels, kerbstones en langzame bochten. Singapore is juist een combinatie van die facetten. Ik reken op een zwaar weekend.

In Japan en Zuid-Korea zal het ons beter vergaan. Hopelijk kunnen we de draad van het introduceren van upgrades weer oppikken, want op dat vlak staan we de afgelopen maanden een beetje stil. We hadden wat voor Monza in de planning, maar dat kwam niet. Dat hebben we nu voor Singapore, maar we hebben meer nodig om Virgin Racing in het vizier te houden.
