Organisatie Olympische Spelen wil leren van organisatoren Zandvoort

Aankomend weekend gaat het Formule 1-seizoen weer verder met de Nederlandse Grand Prix op het circuit van Zandvoort. De organisatie kreeg in de afgelopen jaren veel complimenten. Veel andere sportevenementen willen een voorbeeld nemen aan Zandvoort, nu blijkt dat ook de organisatie van de Olympische Spelen in Parijs veel kijkt naar wat ze in Nederland doen.

In 2021 keerde de Nederlandse Grand Prix terug op de Formule 1-kalender. De organisatie besloot het groots aan te pakken en koos voor veel entertainment en een uitgebreid mobiliteitsplan. De bezoekers van het raceweekend kunnen niet met de auto komen, Zandvoort wordt immers afgesloten voor verkeer. De fans komen dan ook allemaal met de fiets of met de trein. Hiermee wil men een voorbeeld zijn op het gebied van duurzaamheid en mobiliteit.

Het is algemeen bekend dat veel organisaties van andere Grands Prix iets willen opsteken van de Nederlandse Grand Prix. Ook andere sportevenementen kijken met verregaande interesse naar Zandvoort, nu blijkt dat ook het organisatiecomité van de Olympische Spelen in Parijs lessen probeert te leren van Zandvoort. Dutch Grand Prix-directeur Robert van Overdijk legt dit uit bij NH Nieuws: "Ze hebben dezelfde problemen, dus we spreken elkaar tijdens het jaar regelmatig. 37 procent van die bezoekers komt op de fiets. Die beelden zijn de wereld overgegaan. Zeker na de eerste editie was er veel belangstelling vanuit het buitenland."

@Tuftuf; valt nog wel mee. Ik ben dan natuurlijk een ouwe lul die er niet op zit te wachten dat ALLES met dezelfde carnevalseke saus wordt overgoten. Kan me ook niet voorstellen dat andere landen jaloers naar die carnavalsoptocht zitten kijken, hooguit naar 3 dagen uitverkocht huis. Ik zie F1 ver... [Lees verder]

    Mooi voorbeeld van "een nood een deugd maken" of "ieder nadeel heb z'n voordeel". Oorspronkelijk was er van diverse kanten scepsis over Zandvoort op de F1 kalender, mede door beperkte infrastructuur en (bezoekers)faciliteiten. Te weinig parkeerplaatsen, te kleine toegangswegen, urenlange files, opstoppingen en overlast voor omliggende woongebieden door toename autoverkeer (om over uitstoot van uitlaatgassen maar te zwijgen).
    Ze hebben dat samen met de gemeenten, NS en andere organisaties daar prima opgelost en nu zijn ze al een tijdlang lichtend voorbeeld voor sommige andere circuits en zelfs de Olympische Spelen. Goed gedaan hoor.

      Ik schrok al even; niet elk evenement moet verworden tot een carnavals festival. Maar het gaat over bereikbaarheid en mobiliteit. Prima. Er mag best iets blijven wat het is. Niet iedereen zit te wachten op het zoveelste van ‘links naar rechts’ ‘hohoho’ gebral met een DJ die de boel staat op te zwepen. Jammer dat dit gezwel ook F1 heeft bereikt de laatste jaren. Alsof de jeugd en de ‘kijk mij eens interessant zijn op Insta’ generatie nog niet genoeg festivals hebben. 🤡🙈

      Sjeezus @ beemerdude, hoeveel azijn heb je de laatste tijd op?
      Je kunt het natuurlijk ook omdraaien, de sfeer die de “nieuwe” fans brengen daar zijn andere landen jaloers op.
      Met name de Britten natuurlijk maar al dat commentaar over de Nederlandse fans is gewoon jaloezie en meer niet.
      Zelfs de coureurs en het personeel van de teams vinden het allemaal prachtig en die zie je daar ook wel van genieten terwijl die toch wel wat gewend zouden moeten zijn.
      Je kunt er van houden of niet maar een betere sfeer vind je op geen enkel ander circuit.

      Het is maar wat je sfeer noemt @Tuftuf, van mij hoeft die hoempapa dj rommel ook niet.
      Als je daar al nieuw publiek mee moet trekken? Pffff
      Het is een raceweekend en geen festival.
      Heeft niets met azijn te maken alleen met smaak, je kan het niet iedereen naar het zin maken. Maar wat ik zei, beetje overdreven gedoe want zonder dat zou het ook wel vol zitten.

Ik zie F1 verworden tot simpel belachelijk duur entertainment, allemaal in oranje (die snap ik al niet, het is geen voetbal tenslotte) meer dan de helft zijn vrouwen en kinderen, de helft met gratis Unox en Heineken mutsen op en dat gaat dan van links naar rechts en in de polonaise. Het gros weet dat Verstappen vooraan rijdt en wie Hamilton is, maar daar houdt t wel redelijk op denk ik. Het is een ‘ik ben voor die en tegen die’ sport die nu 100% entertainment is geworden. Het is nog net geen Amerikaans worstelen. Ik merk dat F1 me steeds minder trekt, afgelopen jaar toch nog weer Oostenrijk gedaan en da’s wel de laatste keer. Ik zou ook niet weten waar wel naartoe op een beetje normaal budget. Het voetbal publiek gehalte is me te hoog en dan beledig ik nog het voetbalpubliek. Het ‘pro’ Verstappen en ‘anti’ Hamilton gedoe is storend, maakt me geen reet uit wie er mee begonnen is. En ik snap wel dat al die sponsors exposure willen voor hun knaken, maar komt er dan nooit een moment dat het wel ff genoeg is?
