Sainz ontvangt reprimande na hinderen Piastri, Ferrari beboet

Carlos Sainz kende een teleurstellende kwalificatie in Zandvoort. De Spaanse Ferrari-coureur had het overduidelijk zwaar en noteerde de zesde tijd. Heel eventjes moest hij vrezen voor zijn positie, want hij moest de stewards bezoeken vanwege een moment met Oscar Piastri. Hij kreeg slechts een reprimande.

Tijdens de kwalificatie op het circuit van Zandvoort kon Piastri nog maar net een enorm ongeval voorkomen. Sainz kwam de pits uitrijden en had niet door dat Piastri eraan kwam. De Australische McLaren-coureur kon de Ferrari nog maar net ontwijken en reed met twee wielen door het gras. De stewards gaven direct aan dat ze het moment na afloop van de kwalificatie zouden onderzoeken.

De stewards hebben besloten dat Sainz slechts een reprimande hoeft te ontvangen, het team van Ferrari ontvangt echter een boete van 5000 euro. Volgens de stewards bewoog Sainz bij het verlaten van de pitsstraat direct naar de racelijn. Hierdoor raakte Piastri hem bijna, volgens de stewards heeft de Australiër een enorm ongeval voorkomen. De stewards geven aan dat Ferrari Sainz had moeten waarschuwen. Ze wijzen naar Valtteri Bottas, de Fin verliet op hetzelfde moment de pitlane, maar hij kreeg direct te horen dat Piastri in aantocht was.

Als ik Sainz was zou ik voor voor een Audi stoeltje gaan, of desnoods een andere optie. Ferrari is totaal aan het imploderen. Fred kan/wil/mag dingen niet oplossen en ze blijven de fouten in recordtempo opstapelen. Zelfs een simpele aanwijzing na het zien van een aanstormende Piastri op de drivertracker is te moeilijk. En zijn collega stuurt Leclerc weer het oerwoud in waardoor hij bijna uit Q1 ligt. Echt een wonder dat die twee engineers er nog zitten. Die hebben lijntjes naar de top, dat kan niet anders. Anders waren ze al weggeweest.

  Jah,...Triest om te zien alleX......ik denk dat er tog iets structureel iets fout zit daar met de correlatie(of iets).....want de auto is op veel fronten niet goed,zoals ik er tegen aan kijk....
