Drugovich rijdt eerste vrije training voor Aston Martin in Monza

Ook aankomend weekend in Italië komt er weer een rookie in actie tijdens de eerste vrije training. Alle teams zijn verplicht om minimaal twee keer een rookie in te zetten tijdens de vrije trainingen. In Monza zet het team van Aston Martin hun Braziliaanse reservecoureur Felipe Drugovich in.

Drugovich is sinds vorig jaar aan het team van Aston Martin verbonden. De regerend Formule 2-kampioen heeft al wat ervaring met de auto, tijdens de wintertest in Bahrein verving hij de geblesseerde Lance Stroll. Ook in Monza zal Drugovich plaatsnemen in de wagen van Stroll. Volgens Aston Martin is de vrije training een volgende stap in het ontwikkelingsproces van Drugovich. Eerder dit jaar werkte hij al meerdere tests af in oudere wagens, in Monza mag hij de huidige AMR23 weer gaan besturen.
