McLaren grijpt de macht bij Italiaanse pitstops

Het team van Red Bull Racing was afgelopen weekend oppermachtig in de Italiaanse Grand Prix. De Oostenrijkse renstal scoorde met Max Verstappen en Sergio Perez een 1-2tje en Verstappen verbrak ook nog het record van de meeste zeges op rij. Alleen tijdens de pitstops werd Red Bull verslagen.

Niet Red Bull, maar het team van McLaren verrichtte namelijk de snelste pitstop op het circuit van Monza. De Britse renstal wisselde de banden van Lando Norris in 2,13 seconden en daarmee waren ze ruim sneller dan de concurrentie. Het team van Ferrari eindigde als tweede door Charles Leclerc in 2,32 seconde te voorzien van nieuwe banden. Red Bull eindigde hier op de derde plaats door de banden van Perez in 2,35 seconden te wisselen. AlphaTauri en wederom Red Bull maakten de top vijf compleet.
