Viaplay presenteert tijdelijke presentator Formule 1-uitzendingen

De Formule 1 is in Nederland sinds vorig jaar te zien bij de streamingdienst Viaplay. De van oorsprong Scandinavische dienst pakt de zaakjes iets anders aan dan voorganger Ziggo Sport. Zo wordt er gewerkt met een groot aantal nieuwe gezichten. Binnenkort komt daar weer een nieuwe naam bij.

De studio-uitzendingen van Viaplay worden al sinds het begin gepresenteerd door Amber Brantsen. Het voormalig NOS journaal-gezicht speelt daarmee een prominente rol bij de uitzendingen van de Formule 1. Toch zal ze binnenkort voor een aantal maanden van de buis verdwijnen omdat ze met zwangerschapsverlof gaat. Dat betekent dus dat Viaplay opzoek moest gaan naar een, tijdelijke, vervanger van Brantsen.

Vandaag is bekend geworden dat Brantsen vanaf de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten in Austin zal worden vervangen door Koen Weijland. Weijland presenteert voor Viaplay de voetbaluitzendingen en hij is dus geen onbekende naam voor de vaste kijkers van de dienst. Weijland heeft dus ervaring met het presenteren van een studioshow bij Viaplay, maar hij heeft weinig ervaring met de Formule 1. De presentator komt uit het voetbal, hij brak door als proffesioneel FIFA-speler en kreeg daarna steeds meer en meer presentatieklussen in de sportwereld. Naast Weijland presenteert ook Anne-Greet Haars een aantal van de uitzendingen tijdens de sprintweekenden in Austin en Brazilië.

Nou zullen jullie mij 'n ouwe viezerik vinden, maar ik had er graag bij willen zijn toen ze Amber bezwangerd hebben.....ik bedoel als vlieg op de muur natuurlijk.....ik vind haar toch wel 'n leuk lief dametje hoor.

Koen Weijland ken ik niet, dus voor mij is het een vraagteken. Denk wel dat het een voordeel is dat hij in een soortgelijke rol werkt, want Brantsen is gewoon niet goed voor zo een programma en zit nog steeds in de rol van nieuwslezeres.
