Alfa Romeo neemt nieuwe updates mee naar Singapore

Het team van Alfa Romeo is bezig met een lastig seizoen in de Formule 1. De Zwitserse renstal staat slechts op de negende plaats in het constructeurskampioenschap en ze willen stappen zetten. Om de achterstand te verkleinen komt Alfa Romeo in Singapore met een uitgebreid updatepakket.

Alfa Romeo komt dit seizoen niet goed voor de dag. Coureurs Valtteri Bottas en Guanyu Zhou rijden vooral in het achterveld en ze hebben gezamenlijk slechts tien punten gescoord, hiermee houdt Alfa Romeo alleen AlphaTauri achter zich in het constructeurskampioenschap. In Monza scoorde Bottas anderhalve week geleden echter één WK-punt, hierdoor is het gat met concurrent Haas zeer klein geworden. Alfa Romeo staat nog maar één puntje achter op de Amerikaanse renstal.

Alfa Romeo gaat er nu alles aan doen om beter voor de dag te komen. Aankomend weekend willen ze in Singapore de eerste stappen zetten. Teamvertegenwoordiger Alessandro Alunni Bravi legt het uit in zijn vooruitblik: "We nemen een nieuw, belangrijk pakket mee naar Singapore. Dit heeft in de afgelopen maanden veel van ons team gevraagd. Hopelijk helpt het ons in de jacht op meer punten. Het zal cruciaal zijn om op een circuit van Singapore vanaf het begin het juiste gevoel te kregen en onze prestaties te verbeteren."
