Formule 1 houdt minuut stilte voor slachtoffers Marokko en Libië

De gehele Formule 1-wereld kijkt reikhalzend uit naar de Singaporese Grand Prix van later vandaag. Maar voor de start van de race denkt de sport aan de rest van de wereld. De FIA heeft namelijk aangekondigd dat er voorafgaand de race een minuut stilte zal worden gehouden.

De Formule 1 houdt de minuut stilte voor de slachtoffers van de natuurrampen in Marokko en Libië. Marokko werd vorige week getroffen door een zware aardbeving en Libië werd getroffen door verwoestende overstromingen. Een kwartier voor de start van de race zal er een minuut stilte worden gehouden op de grid. Na de minuut stilte zal het volkslied worden gespeeld waarna de gebruikelijke procedures weer van start gaan.
