Zandvoort onderdeel van F1 Academy-kalender in 2024

Het was al eventjes bekend dat de F1 Academy vanaf volgend seizoen een vaste supportklasse van de Formule 1 wordt. Vandaag heeft deze klasse de kalender voor het aankomende seizoen gepresenteerd. Ze reizen zeven keer mee met de Formule 1 en ze komen ook op het circuit van Zandvoort in actie.

De F1 Academy is momenteel bezig met het eerste seizoen uit hun bestaan. De klasse voor enkel vrouwelijke coureurs werd dit jaar in het leven geroepen als de vervanger voor de verdwenen W Series. De F1 Academy is, zoals de naam als aangeeft, onderdeel van de Formule 1, maar ze zijn dit seizoen slechts één keer onderdeel van een Grand Prix-weekend. Aankomend weekend debuteren ze in Austin in het voorprogramma van de koningsklasse van de autosport.

Vanaf volgend seizoen zullen ze dus vaker te zien zijn tijdens de Grand Prix-weekenden. In Saoedi-Arabië, Miami, Spanje, Zandvoort, Singapore, Qatar en Abu Dhabi rijden ze in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1. Het was al de verwachting dat de F1 Academy naar Zandvoort zou trekken aangezien eerder al duidelijk was geworden dat de Formule 2 en de Formule 3 daar niet in actie komen. Het raceweekend in Nederland staat volgend jaar van 23 tot en met 25 augustus op de planning.

  Heb de dames van de vergane series bezig gezien en vond het niet wat.
  Minder rondjes ook en zelfs met de trage auto's duurde het niet lang. ;)
  F2 is een leuke serie om te zien en dat is er al niet meer.
  Weet niet hoe het de porsches zal vergaan, maar geen dag vulling meer. Dat is de versobering.
