McLaren herdenkt overleden medewerker met prachtig eerbetoon

Het team van McLaren rijdt dit weekend in Austin rond met een speciaal eerbetoon. De oplettende kijker is het tijdens de eerder sessies mogelijk al opgevallen, maar het team heeft een sticker op de auto's van Lando Norris en Oscar Piastri geplaatst om een overleden werknemer te herdenken.

McLaren laat op sociale media weten dat ze dit weekend Martin Kemp herdenken. Kemp was 22 jaar lang werkzaam voor het team, afgelopen maand is hij overleden. Om hem te herdenken is zijn naam ter herinnering op de wagens van Norris en Piastri geplaatst. Kemp was werkzaam op de Composite Machining-afdeling van McLaren. Het team laat weten dat ze hun teamgenoot en vriend op deze manier op een passende wijze willen herdenken.

This weekend we will pay tribute to our dear teammate and friend, Martin Kemp, who sadly passed away last month.

Martin had been at McLaren for nearly 22 years and was a key member of our Composite Machining team.
