Hoogte circuit Mexico dwingt teams tot aanpassingen

Vorige week in Austin ging het weer veelvuldig over de updates van een aantal teams. Wie een soortgelijke situatie had verwacht in Mexico, komt van een koude kermis thuis. Er worden dit weekend namelijk geen grote updates geïntroduceerd, maar wel een aantal opvallende aanpassingen.

De Mexicaanse Grand Prix wordt immers verreden op het Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico-Stad. De Mexicaanse hoofdstad ligt op 2240 meter boven zeeniveau. Dat betekent dus dat de teams rekening moeten houden met deze hoogte, veel teams voeren dan ook veranderingen door aan de engine cooling. Bij alle teams die hiervoor kiezen gaat het dan ook om een circuitspecifieke update, zo blijkt uit de documenten van de FIA.
