Officieel: Braziliaanse Grand Prix tot en met 2030 op F1-kalender

De Formule 1 heeft het contract met de organisatie van de Braziliaanse Grand Prix verlengd. Zojuist is bekend geworden dat de race op het circuit van Interlagos minimaal tot en met 2030 op de Formule 1-kalender staat. Dit weekend staat de race ook weer op het programma.

De Formule 1 heeft vandaag bekend gemaakt dat het contract is verlengd met vijf jaar. Het evenement heet officieel gezien de Grand Prix van Sao Paulo, maar vrijwel iedereen noemt het nog gewoon de Grand Prix van Brazilië. De burgemeester van Sao Paulo, Ricardo Nunes, heeft recent een aantal investeringen voor het circuit doorgevoerd. Hij wil dat het ook een locatie kan worden voor andere entertainment evenementen zoals concerten.

Goede zaak! Dan hoeven we ons de komende 7 jaar geen zorgen te maken dat dit mooie echte circuit vervangen zal worden door een straatfeest.
