'Pirelli reageert op kritiek en werk aan nieuwe compound voor 2025'

De teams hadden afgelopen weekend in Brazilië veel last van bandenslijtage. Men moest zoeken naar de juiste strategie om de race te kunnen overleven. Bandenleverancier Pirelli zoekt naar een oplossing en het lijkt er op dat ze in 2025 een nieuwe compound gaan introduceren.

De banden van Pirelli krijgen al geruime tijd kritiek van de teams en de coureurs. Ze slijten soms heel snel en dat zorgt ervoor dat de teams veel performance verliezen en dat zorgt soms voor zeer creatieve strategieën. Pirelli-kopstuk Mario Isola liet in Brazilië weten dat zijn mensen de Braziliaanse problemen gaan analyseren om tot een goede oplossing te komen. Daarnaast wordt er ook naar de toekomst gekeken.

Volgens Motorsport.com wordt er snel daad bij het woord gevoegd door Pirelli. Het medium meldt namelijk dat Pirelli samen met de Formule 1 en de teams een nieuwe compound willen ontwikkelen. De reden hiervoor is zeer simpel, want Pirelli beschikt zelf niet over de juiste simulatoren die ook het effect van het verkeer kunnen nabootsen. Als deze nieuwe compound er komt, dan wordt deze niet geïntroduceerd in 2024. Men heeft hier te weinig tijd voor, maar 2025 is wel een haalbaar doel. De nieuwe compounds moeten er echter niet voor zorgen dat er allen éénstoppers mogelijk zijn, men wil verschillende strategieën blijven stimuleren.

1 stop OK maar er mag wat meer variatie komen naar keuze in compounds. Je zou ook op de assen een verschillende compound kunnen plaatsen. Zn de sprintrace zou geen managementrace mogen zijn.

  Door dat de pitstops te lang duren, vooral in en uit rijden van de pits. zijn er niet zo veel mogelijkheden. Snelheid in de pits omhoog, naar 120km/h zou al heel wat helpen.

  Waar is de tijd dat de snelheid in de pits ongelimiteerd was... spectaculair maar heel gevaarlijk met al die mensen en de snelheden waarmee ze tegenwoordig pitten

Winter 2024/2025: Pirelli stelt nieuwe band uit tot 2026 zodat het rubber direct op verhoogde elektrische componenten afgestemd zijn.

Pirelli komt bij mij over als een lui bedrijf dat een overheidscontract binnen heeft gehaald. 150% van de marktwaarde eisen als onderdeel van de exclusiviteit, en kosten drukken door innovatie en ontwikkeling zo hard mogelijk te drukken door uitstel (tot t contract eindigd)

[Niet alle bedrijven met een overheidscontract zijn zo, maar sommigen zijn zeer bewust wel zo]

Slechte zaak als je als bandenbakker zijnde niet over de juiste simulatoren die ook het effect van het verkeer kunnen nabootsen beschikt. Maar oja, ze zijn net zo Italiaans als Ferrari en die knoeien ook raak...
