Massa nog steeds goede vrienden met Domenicali

Felipe Massa is nog steeds bezig met zijn juridische strijd tegen de Formule 1 en de FIA. De Braziliaan is nog steeds van mening dat hij recht heeft op de wereldtitel van 2008. Hij ziet dat er veel weerstand is, maar hij benadrukt dat hij nog steeds goede vrienden is met Stefano Domenicali.

Domenicali is vandaag de dag de CEO van de Formule 1. In 2008 had hij echter een heel andere rol, hij was toen namelijk nog de teambaas van Ferrari. Hij werkte toen dus nog samen met Massa, dus toen stond hij nog aan de andere kant in de zaak. Vandaag de dag wil Domenicali zich echter niet te veel uitspreken over de Crashgate-zaak van Massa. Hij lijkt het echter nog wel goed te kunnen vinden met Massa.

Vrienden

Tegen de verwachtingen in was Massa afgelopen weekend wél aanwezig in de paddock in Brazilië. Hij sprak daar met Motorsport.com over zijn juridische proces en zijn band met Domenicali: "Stefano is nog altijd een goede vriend van mij. We praten nog veel met elkaar, alleen niet over alles wat gebeurd is. Daar kan ik dus niets over zeggen. Zijn houding tegenover mij is nooit veranderd en dat zal hij ook nooit gaan doen."

Nieuwe mensen

Massa neemt Domenicali niets kwalijk in de huidige zaak. De Braziliaan hoopt dat er goed wordt gereageerd op zijn juridische zaak en hij verwacht later deze maand een antwoord van de FIA en de FOM op de brief van zijn juristen. Massa legt uit van wie hij wel wat verwacht: "Het zijn bij zowel de FIA als de Formule 1 nu andere mensen dan vroeger. Ik hoop dat al die mensen het goede voor de sport doen. Ik hoop dat ze het recht laten zegevieren zodat dit in de toekomst niet meer kan gebeuren."
