Mick Schumacher ziet Formule E-avontuur niet zitten

Het is inmiddels wel duidelijk dat de toekomst van Mick Schumacher niet in de Formule 1 ligt. De Duitse coureur zoekt naar mogelijkheden voor volgend jaar, maar één optie heeft hij al geschrapt. Schumacher zit namelijk niet te wachten op een avontuur in de Formule E.

Schumacher verloor vorig jaar zijn Formule 1-zitje bij het team van Haas en sindsdien fungeert hij als reservecoureur van Mercedes. Hij is elk weekend aanwezig op de circuits, maar zelden neemt hij plaats in de cockpit. Hij kijkt naar de opties voor volgend jaar en hij heeft al getest met de Hypercar van Alpine. De kans is dan ook vrij groot dat we hem volgend jaar terug zien in het World Endurance Championship.

Schumacher is hard bezig met zijn toekomstplannen, maar dat betekent niet dat hij overal 'ja' op zegt. De Duitser laat namelijk weten dat hij een overstap naar de elektrische Formule E-klasse niet zit zitten. In gesprek met TuttoMotori is hij daar nogal duidelijk over: "Om eerlijk te zijn zie ik dat niet zitten. Ik ben fan van verbrandingsmotoren en ik houd van de geur van benzine. Jammer genoeg is de Formule E op het moment dan niet de juiste raceklasse voor mij."

      Ik denk eerder dat de kop moet zijn: “FE ziet Mick Schumacher niet zitten”

      Dat wordt veel te duur voor al die teams, al die schade die Mick rijdt..

    De stoeltjes zijn ook bezet... dan is dit makkelijk roepen. Net als "indycar is nu niet de juiste klasse voor mij" of als je nog lang wacht met die handtekening bij Alpine WEC... "Hypercar is nu niet de juiste klasse voor mij, ik blijf naast Toto staan in 2024"

      Mick zoekt toekomst perspectief, dan moet je dus net niet bij formule E zijn want die heeft geen toekomst.
