Vier coureurs komen vandaag al in actie in Las Vegas

Het Formule 1-weekend begint pas donderdagavond lokale tijd in Las Vegas, maar vandaag komt een viertal coureurs al in actie in de gokstad in de staat Nevada. Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Alexander Albon en Pierre Gasly nemen immers deel aan een speciaal toernooi van streamingsdienst Netflix.

Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van Netflix wordt er vandaag een live sportevenement uitgezonden. Norris, Sainz, Albon en Gasly zijn namelijk gekoppeld aan professionele golfers. Samen met Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikwa en Max Homa gaan ze de strijd met elkaar aan op de golfbaan van Wynn in Las Vegas. Voor de Europese kijker wordt het een latertje, want pas om middernacht Nederlandse tijd gaat de 'Netflix Cup' van start.

      Het is gewoon een sport waar coördinatie, techniek en gevoel samenkomen om tot een prestatie te komen.
      In die zin niet wezenlijk anders dan darten of biljarten. Wat ook leuk is om te doen.

      Met die kracht valt het wel mee. Des te harder je probeert te slaan des te minder ver en accuraat. Het zit 'm in de ontspanning en souplesse. Dat ontbreekt bij de meesten van ons :-)

      Ja, bij golf komt wel wat kracht kijken, maar eigenlijk alleen bij de afslag. Daar zie je dat mannen verder slaan dan vrouwen, puur door het verschil in spierkracht.
      Bij de volgende slagen speelt kracht amper een rol en gaat het om techniek, souplesse en timing, zoals @Sander al zei.

      Overigens heb je bij poolbiljart (8-ball, 9-ball) ook wat kracht nodig bij de afstoot, om de ballen te spreiden en tenminste één te potten.

      Voor beide geldt: veel kracht zonder techniek brengt je niets. :-)
