McLaren verpulvert concurrentie bij pitstops Las Vegas

De Grand Prix van Las Vegas was afgelopen een groot spektakelstuk. De coureurs vochten flinke duels met elkaar uit, maar ook in de pitlane was het weer spannend. Tijdens de Safety Car-periodes kozen veel teams ervoor om een belangrijke pitstop te maken, maar één team stak er met kop en schouders bovenuit.

Het team van McLaren verbrak eerder dit jaar al het record voor de snelste pitstop ooit. Ook in Las Vegas kwamen ze weer goed voor de dag, ze verwisselden de banden van Oscar Piastri in 1,99 seconden. Hiermee waren ze veel sneller dan de rest van het veld. Het team van AlphaTauri verwisselde de banden van Yuki Tsunoda namelijk in 2,20 seconden. De teams van Ferrari, Red Bull Racing en Mercedes maakten de top vijf compleet.
