Stewards delen geen straffen uit aan teams na kledingovertredingen

Vertegenwoordigers van alle teams moesten zich na afloop van de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi bij de stewards melden. Het ging hier namelijk om een massale en opvallende overtreding. Tijdens de pitstops hadden een aantal monteurs geen oogbescherming gedragen. De stewards delen geen straffen uit.

Tijdens de race werd al duidelijk dat meerdere teams een overtreding hadden begaan tijdens de pitstops. Al snel bleek dat meerdere teammedewerkers geen beschermende bril hadden gedragen. De stewards geven aan dat ze de beelden hebben bekeken, maar dat ze geen duidelijk bewijs konden vinden. Daarom worden er geen straffen uitgedeeld, maar krijgen de teams wel de opdracht om aan hun mensen duidelijk te maken om een beschermende bril te dragen.
