Viaplay stelt presentatie kwartaalcijfers weer uit

Het lijkt er sterk op dat er grote problemen zijn bij Viaplay. De Scandinavische streamingsdienst zendt in Nederland de Formule 1 uit en vandaag zouden ze eindelijk de kwartaalcijfers over Q3 presenteren. Alleen heeft men vanochtend bekend gemaakt de presentatie weer uit te stellen.

Het was de bedoeling dat de kwartaalcijfers van Viaplay eind oktober naar buiten zouden komen. Het bedrijf besloot toen echter om de presentatie uit te stellen naar vandaag. Maar vanochtend vroeg kwam Viaplay moet een opvallend statement naar buiten: "Viaplay Group heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat de Raad van Bestuur heeft besloten de publicatie van de financiële resultaten van Q3 2023 te verplaatsen naar na de sluiting van de handel op NASDAQ Stockholm op donderdag 30 november, om de gesprekken met haar grootste aandeelhouders, schuldeisers en obligatiehouders over de mogelijke herkapitalisatie van de Groep voort te zetten."

Het is het zoveelste negatieve hoofdstuk in de nog korte geschiedenis van Viaplay. Ze betraden vorig jaar de markt in Nederland en ze begonnen met het uitzenden van de Formule 1. Ze ontvingen direct veel kritiek omdat het commentaar tegenviel en omdat de kwaliteit van de streams niet goed was. Het is ook duidelijk dat het op financieel gebied niet goed gaat met Viaplay. In juli werd al bekend dat ze zich uit diversen landen gaan terugtrekken. De plannen voor Nederland bleven hetzelfde en de Formule 1 is nog steeds de belangrijkste pijler. Of dat nu gaat veranderen, is niet duidelijk.

    de beurskoers is van 2 juni waarde 225,40 SEK (Sweedse Kronen) gedaald naar 22,78 SEK gisteren. Als je in ViaPlay had geinvesteerd was je 89,8% van je geld kwijt.
    Maar op zondag was een van de meest gezochte termen op Google "viaplay opzeggen" en ik denk dat dat een van de reden is dat er weer een uitstel komt.

    Nog even volhouden, dan verdwijnt viaplay voorgoed uit ons leven. Erg dom, als ze Olaf Mol als comentator zouden contracteren, zouden ze worden gered. Maar daar is het nu te laat voor. 100% de schuld van die twee pratende marmotten!!!!!

    Met een hoop bombarie en expantiedrift kwamen ze de markt op. Viaplay zou het "nieuwe F1 kijken" worden.

    Echter hebben zich flink in de vingers gesneden.
    Als je zoiets als "live sportevenementen" wilt aanbieden via streaming, dan moet je er voor zorgen dat je app feilloos werkt. Dat doet het vaak nog steeds niet, beeldkwaliteit is ook niet geweldig, en dan maak je je dienst ook nog eens te duur. Plus daarbij nog ( in elk geval voor NL) dat je een hoop wensen en klachten negeert.. dan is het niet vreemd dat je klanten verliest.

    Veel mensen hebben Viaplay de voorkeur van de twijfel gegeven maar er lijken geen verbeteringen en veranderingen te komen op korte termijn. Het zal steeds meer klanten gaan verliezen in NL.

    Misschien beter om dan de stekker er (voorlopig) uit te trekken.

    Triest voor de medewerkers als je strakjes net voor de feestdagen moet horen dat je geen baan meer hebt.
    Ik vond ViaPlay niks meer maar ook zeker niet minder dan Ziggo.
    Ik ben in November overgestapt naar F1tv omdat ik van provider verandert ben en daarmee ook mijn ViaPlay abonnement ten einde liep. Ik heb nu twee races met F1tv gekeken en ik zou echt niet weten wat er nou zo veeeel beter is behalve dan dat het iets goedkoper is.

      Helemaal mee eens. Ze hebben alle drie hun voor en nadelen, maar
      F1 TV Pro wordt de hemel in geprezen omdat het vele malen goedkoper is.

      Ik vind viaplay ook prima. Wat meer RTL4 achtig ipv SBS6 zoals ziggo altijd was.

    Viaplay is gewoon klaar. Ze hebben het daar totaal verkeerd aangepakt. Het Beeld was het laatste jaar goed. Maar de commentaren gewoon slecht. Die gozer in de pitstraat ging redelijk goed. Maar dat ze dan ook zo'n Mika hebben die het alleen maar over zijn races van ruim 26 jaar geleden heeft. DC zit nog wel gewoon in dat wereldje maar een Mike Heezemans is toch ook weer niks. Net als een NPO nieuws, hockey en voetbal presentator, laatste genoemde deed het nog aardig. Maar werkte niet.

    Goed ik had een jaarabo tijdens de race en qual commentaar grandprix radio. Volgend seizoen ga ik het anders doen. Ik heb zoal VPN dus ik kan alle kanten uit!:-)))
