Beurskoers Viaplay daalt met 80 procent

Streamingsdienst Viaplay presenteerde vandaag de langverwachte kwartaalcijfers en hun plannen om financieel weer gezond te worden. De dienst die in Nederland de Formule 1 uitzendt verkeert al geruime tijd in zwaar weer. Na de presentatie van de kwartaalcijfers is het bedrijf ook nog eens onder uit gegaan op de beurs.

Het is geen geheim dat het financieel gezien niet zo goed gaat met Viaplay. De streamingsdienst stelde de presentatie van de kwartaalcijfers meerdere keren uit, maar vandaag was het dan toch zover. Viaplay vertrekt uit meerdere landen, maar ze blijven wel actief in Nederland. Ze hebben ook bekend gemaakt dat ze een groot bedrag gaan omzetten in aandelen en dat ze voor 350 miljoen euro aan nieuwe uitdelen gaan uitgeven.

De reactie op de beurs is niet bepaald positief. Op de beurs in Stockholm maakt het moederbedrijf van Viaplay namelijk een enorme duikeling. De koers is namelijk met 80 procent gedaald. Dat is niet waar men op had gehoopt, maar het geeft wel aan dat er niet zoveel vertrouwen is in Viaplay. Op de streamingsdienst is de Formule 1 volgend jaar nog gewoon te zien in Nederland. Ook via F1 TV Pro kan er naar de races worden gekeken terwijl ook de NOS en Ziggo Sport aandacht besteden aan de races.

    Viaplay's beurswaarde is nu iets van 400 miljoen en ze betaalden alleen al 90 miljoen per jaar voor de F1-rechten. Kan me voorstellen dat geïnteresseerden in de F1-rechten nadenken of het misschien niet slimmer is om heel Viaplay over te nemen, inclusief die rechten, nu dat bedrijf nog maar een prikkie kost.

      Ondertussen wordt het ene na het andere tenenkrommende stuk vol fouten op het web gedumpt. Zonder de reacties bleef er niks van over.

      Precies. F1 naar Ziggo, maar hopelijk wel wat aanpassingen in het personeelsbestand. Premier League ook daarheen. Ze krijgen daar vanaf volgend seizoen ook al het Europese voetbal dus dan zit op de eredivisie na al het topvoetbal bij 1 zender. Darten lekker terug naar RTL7, daar waar het hoort. Echt helemaal top! Ik ga juichen als ze echt kapot zijn!

      Proberen ze, daarom roepen ze zo hard in Nederland te willen blijven. Het resultaat van zeggen dat je de stekker er uit gaat trekken maakt de rechten waardeloos.

      En daarom zit Ziggo lekker achterover, wachten tot ViaPlay niets anders meer kan dan de rechten in de uitverkoop te zetten.

    Ene Simon Sinek heeft hier eens een boekje over geschreven, begin met het Waarom. Dat legt uit waarom mensen voor een nieuw Apple product bereid zijn een nacht voor een winkel te slapen en als het niet goed werkt daar nog begrip voor hebben ook. En waarom bedrijven als Viaplay dit dus niet voorelkaar krijgen. Viaplay gaat niet overleven en ik ga juichen als ze omflikkeren! Verschrikkelijk bedrijf
