Red Bull gunt Japanse superster F1-meters tijdens Honda Thanks Day

Dit weekend vindt op het circuit van Motegi de Honda Thanks Day plaats. Veel coureurs die voor het Japanse merk zullen hun kunsten laten zien tijdens dit weekend. Ook het team van Red Bull Racing is aanwezig en ze geven een bijzondere coureur de kans om te rijden in een Formule 1-bolide.

Naast Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Daniel Ricciardo en Yuki Tsunoda zijn er dit weekend ook coureurs aanwezig die normaal gesproken niet in de Formule 1 rijden. Tomoki Nojiri is één van die coureurs, de Japanner is een grote naam in zijn thuisland. Nojiri heeft twee titels in de Super Formula op zak en dit jaar werd hij derde in dat kampioenschap. Red Bull geeft hem dit weekend de kans om te rijden in de RB16B, het is de wagen waarmee Verstappen in 2021 wereldkampioen werd.
