Zandvoort was het inhaalwalhalla van 2023

Het afgelopen Formule 1-seizoen zat bomvol spektakel. Er waren zeer veel interessante races en er werden veel gevechten uitgevochten op de baan. Niet op alle circuits konden de coureurs de strijd met elkaar aangaan, maar één circuit was een echt inhaalparadijs.

Afgelopen jaar werd er op 22 circuits geracet in de Formule 1. Regelmatig ging de zege naar het team van Red Bull Racing, maar daarachter vonden er veel mooie duels plaats. Op het circuit van Monaco werd er echter amper ingehaald, in de hele race vonden er namelijk slechts dertien inhaalacties plaats. Ook het circuit van Montreal vormde geen walhalla voor inhaalacties, daar wisten de coureurs elkaar slechts zeventien keer te passeren. Hetzelfde gold voor de Hungaroring.

Maar er waren ook een aantal circuits waarin er veel inhaalacties plaatsvonden in de races. Het circuit van Zandvoort was dit jaar het decor voor de meeste inhaalacties. Op het circuit in de Noord-Hollandse duinen vond er een regenspektakel plaats en in totaal haalden de coureurs 112 elkaar in. Hiermee kwam Zandvoort als enige boven de honderd inhaalacties uit. In Las Vegas werden er 82 inhaalacties voltooid en ook in Abu Dhabi (60), Miami (52), Barcelona (49) en Spa-Francorchamps (47) werd er enorm vaak ingehaald.

Het was ook een zeer interessante race. Maar zo zie je maar, voor de meeste inhaal acties moet je op een old-school baan zijn. Voor mij hoeven de straten circuits niet zo zeer.

Het was ook een zeer interessante race. Maar zo zie je maar, voor de meeste inhaal acties moet je op een old-school baan zijn. Voor mij hoeven de straten circuits niet zo zeer.

  Dit had meer met het weer te maken dan het circuit waarmee ik geen afbreuk wil doen aan de race. Maar Zandvoort is bij een droge race geen leuke baan qua inhaalacties maar de ligging maakt het uniek.

  Zelfs meer door strategische keuzes, Joeppp. Dacht alleen al rond de inter stint. De eerste waren er rond de 90 inhaalacties door mensen op inters bij mensen op sliks.
  
  Echte inhaalacties waren er ook. Alonso een paar. Verstappen die Zhou en Gasly op inters voorbij moest. Russell had er 1 op Norris (sliks tegen sliks)
  
  Het was voor mij vooral een bijzondere race door die inter stint van Verstappen. 1 van mijn hoogtepunten van 2023. Samen met nog een paar momenten dat seizoen.

  @Joeppp , dat ben ik het niet met je eens. In 2022 door het DRS gebruik in de Arie Luyendijkbocht toe te staan (waar ze dat in 2021 nog niet aandurfden) zag je dat het rechte stuk precies lang genoeg was om in te halen en dan kwam aan op de uitremactie net voor de bocht of het gebruik maken van het feit dat je in de Tarzanbocht verschillende lijnen kunt rijden. Ook inhalen net voor het "stadion" is mogelijk, niet makkelijk, maar het moet natuurlijk ook niet makkelijk zijn
