FIA past regels omtrent wangedrag aan voor 2024

Autosportfederatie FIA heeft een opvallende wijziging doorgevoerd aan het sportieve regelement voor 2024. Na een aantal opvallende incidenten in de slotfase van het seizoen voelde de FIA zich genoodzaakt om de regelementen omtrent wangedrag van teambazen en coureurs aan te passen.

In Abu Dhabi moest Sergio Perez zich namelijk bij de stewards melden omdat hij kwaad had gereageerd op zijn tijdstraf. Hij zou de regels omtrent wangedrag hebben overtreden toen hij zich over zijn straf uitsprak over de boordradio. Het was niet de eerste keer dat iemand zich hiervoor bij de stewards moest melden in 2023. Eerder werd ook Haas-teambaas Günther Steiner bestraft omdat hij de stewards had omschreven als 'leken'.

In beide gevallen ontstond er de nodige discussie omdat men zich afvroeg wat het wangedrag precies was. De FIA heeft voor 2024 dan ook artikel 12.2.1 (k) van de International Sporting Code aangepast. Voorheen ging het hier om al het wangedrag gericht tegen bijvoorbeeld officials en FIA-medewerkers. Voor 2024 heeft de FIA dit aangepast naar 'wangedrag'. Het gaat er dus niet meer om tegen wie dit wangedrag precies is gericht. Dan blijft alleen wel de vraag over wat er precies kan worden gezien als wangedrag. Daarnaast is de bekritiseerde boeteverhoging naar maximaal 1 miljoen euro ook doorgevoerd in de regels.

Da's mooi, want dat betekent dat vanaf nu ook het wangedrag van de FIA onderzocht kan worden...

  De meest smerige die ik heb gezien dit jaar was van Hamilton. Die stak op een video een middelvinger op naar de fia. Maar die wordt niet gestraft en mag het wel als 7-voudig kampioen.
  
  Overigens vind ik het niet erg. Maar dat gedoe van de fia wel. Nika mag meer. Over een tijdje krijgen de rijders sensoren in de broek. Stel dat ze een stijfie krijgen tijdens het racen.

Arabische toestanden dreigen de vrijheid van meningsuiting te gaan overheersen. Toch is er ook goed nieuws, de blote tietenparade zal tot in lengte der tijden ongesluierd op de platte kar aan het publiek voorbij trekken!
