Zoon Niki Lauda komt met prachtig eerbetoon in Dakar Rally

Vandaag gaat in Saoedi-Arabië de iconische Dakar Rally van start. Er doen weer veel opvallende deelnemers mee in de verschillende klassen. Ook de zoon Niki Lauda doet voor het eerst mee. Lukas Lauda rijdt deze weken met een prachtig eerbetoon aan zijn vader.

Lukas Lauda heeft zijn buggy van South Racing Team namelijk laten spuiten in de kleuren van één van de iconische bolides van zijn vader. De Can-Am Maverick is namelijk voorzien van de livery van de McLaren MP4/2 waarmee Niki Lauda in 1984 wereldkampioen werd. Ook de helm van Lukas Lauda is roodwit van kleur en de fans reageren lyrisch op dit eerbetoon van de Oostenrijkse coureur.
