FIA plaatst enige DRS-zone in Zuid-Korea tussen bochten 2 en 3

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft beslist om voor de Grand Prix van Zuid-Korea één zone voor de beweegbare achtervleugel in te stellen, ondanks de aanwezigheid van meerdere lange rechte stukken. Het langste stuk is het gebied waar zondag het Drag Reduction System te activeren is.

Het is het stuk tussen bochten 2 en 3. De lengte daarvan is 1.050 meter. De DRS-zone begint pas 350 meter na bocht 2 om het niet te makkelijk te maken. Het detectiepunt bevindt zich op de baan in Yeongam tussen bochten 1 en 2.
