Mogelijke Viaplay-rivaal zet grote stap in Nederland

De Formule 1 is dit jaar in Nederland nog te zien bij de streamingdienst Viaplay. De van oorsprong Scandinavische dienst kampt met grote financiële problemen, maar ze ontvingen recent wel een fikse kapitaalinjectie. Eén van deze investeerders zet nu een extra stap in Nederland. Dat zorgt voor geruchten.

Viaplay zendt de Formule 1 sinds 2022 uit in Nederland. Het contract van de dienst loopt eind dit jaar af en het is nog maar de vraag of ze ook in 2025 nog de Formule 1 uitzenden. Er liggen meerdere kapers op de kust, maar bij Viaplay willen ze niet opgeven. Deze week waren ze nog hoopvol en gaven ze aan dat ze gaan meebieden. Er zijn ook nog andere geïnteresseerde partijen, eerder deze week leek er nog een opvallende naam bij te komen.

Eén van de partijen die veel geld gaat steken in Viaplay is Canal+. Dit bedrijf zendt in andere landen al de Formule 1 uit en eerder deze week kwam er een gerucht naar buiten over mogelijke interesse van Canal+ in de uitzendrechten van de sport in Nederland. Het bedrijf heeft nu een opvallende stap gezet, want ze hebben aan Telecompaper bevestigd dat de naam inderdaad terugkeert in Nederland. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de geruchten over een mogelijk bod op de Formule 1-uitzendrechten alleen maar groter worden.

    Dat Canal+ geld gaat stoppen in Viaplay is natuurlijk de eerste stap naar een overname van Viaplay door C+ Roger Lodewick van Viaplay heeft Telecompaper verteld dat er een goede kans is dat de rechten behouden blijven. Na dit seizoen loopt het contract af en C+ heeft nu eenmaal diepere zakken dan alleen Viaplay. Ook gaan ze niet tegen een bedrijf opbieden voor de rechten om de prijs op te drijven. Het zal waarschijnlijk dus gaan tussen Ziggo/Vodafone en Viaplay/C+. F1 Pro is ook weer de lucht in gegaan met abo van €59,95 naar een whopping €95 voor een seizoen. Ben benieuwd wat de prijs is voor de uitzendrechten de komende 3 jaar. Gaat niet goedkoper zijn dan (volgends de geruchten) €30Miljoen per jaar dat Viaplay betaald heeft.

      iik =ook. Maar nog even, de prijs zal alles bepalend zijn. Voor een abo van veel meer dan €10,- lijkt mij weinig interesse. Bedoel, ook F1 fans hebben nog hun andere stream abo's. Zijn goedkoper en je hebt er meer plezier van voor die prijs.

    Canal+ heeft al 29% van de aandelen en rechten van viaplay in handen en is stiekem bezig viaplay totaal over te nemen. Zij hebben veel geld er voor over. 3 keer zoveel als Ziggo. De kans is groot dat het volgend jaar dus Cansl+ word. Viaplay gaat rit jaar 20 euro per persoon vragen, daar krijg je F1 tv gratis bij.
