Viaplay komt terug op controversieel besluit

De Formule 1 is ook dit jaar in Nederland te zien bij de streamingdienst Viaplay. De dienst ontving in de afgelopen periode veel kritiek en daarnaast kampten ze ook met zware financiële problemen. Viaplay komt nu in ieder geval terug op een controversieel besluit van een paar maanden terug.

Viaplay maakte vorig jaar bekend dat ze waren gestopt met het verkopen van jaarabonnementen. Klanten konden alleen nog maar bij de streamingdienst terecht voor een maandelijks abonnement. Deze abonnementen zorgden ervoor dat klanten uiteindelijk meer geld kwijt waren dan met het jaarlijkse abonnement. Viaplay heeft een aantal financieel zware maanden achter de rug en recent kreeg het met moederbedrijf een flinke financiële injectie.

Canal+ en PPF investeerden in het bedrijf en dat zorgt ervoor dat ze nu weer eventjes adem kunnen halen. Ze zijn nu ook teruggekomen op hun besluit over het schrappen van de jaarlijkse abonnementen. Viaplay biedt nu namelijk een pakket voor twaalf maanden aan met twintig procent korting. Voor dit pakket is men dan 12,79 euro per maand kwijt, voor het normale abonnement is men 15,99 euro per maand kwijt. Het grootste verschil is wel dat het nieuwe pakket van Viaplay bindend is voor een periode van twaalf maanden.

      De originele tekst luidt dan ook : "De streamingdienst biedt per direct
      weer de mogelijkheid om een jaarabonnement af te sluiten.
      Met een verbintenis voor twaalf maanden wordt elke maand 12,79 euro
      door Viaplay in rekening gebracht. Het maandabonnement is 15,99 euro.

      Als je een pakket vergelijkt met een enkel product zal je vaak zien dat het product goedkoper is. Wat goed werkt als je alleen dat product gebruikt.
      Je gebruikt het mischien niet maar er zit nog veel meer bij Viaplay dan alleen F1.

      @MrStef85 Klopt, maar ik had al een jaar abonnement dat automatisch wordt vernieuwd en afgeschreven van de rekening. Heb het bericht gekregen dat het ook dit jaar €64,99 zal zijn. Dus ik ga ervan uit dat als je al klant was de prijsverhoging niet geldt.

      Ik ga terug naar Viaplay omdat ik 50% korting krijg van mijn werkgever.

      @MLTG ik kijk alleen Formule 1, het feit dat Viaplay dit niet los aanbied en ik allemaal shit erbij krijg is niet rendabel in mijn prijsvergelijking.

      Ik heb hem vandeweek ook verlengd voor 64,99

      Maar ik vermoed omdat ik de aanbieding voor verlenging kreeg via email voor de aankondiging van de prijsverhoging. Ik doe gewoon een heel jaar, omdat ik f1tv als naslag/nazoek kan gebruiken. Bijvoorbeeld: hoe zat het ook al weer met die race? Dat soort dingen.

    Bij mij gaat het f1 pro arbo gewoon naar 95euro, ondanks dat er ook bij staat dat er op de verzenddatum 64,99 wordt afgetikt. bijna 50% verhoging. Heb F1 pro gelijk opgezegd. Zie wel hoe ik ga kijken, maar zeker niet via VIAPLAy. Dat is echt alleen maar ouwe zooi naast f1. Heb al Amazon, Netflix en GCN+. Tv kijken wordt inmiddels een hele dure hobby met al die versnippering.

    F1TV gaat naar 95 euro. Bij viaplay kun je volgens mij met twee schermen kijken? En dus ook share. Dan ben je goedkoper uit met een jaarabonnement en heb je wel een uitgebreidere voor en nabeschouwing.

    Extra betalen voor kijken naar F1? Heb ik allemaal geen last van en ik zie alles. Kan alleen niet meekijken vanuit de cockpit van de coureurs. Maar dat mis ik echt niet. En nee, ik ga zeker geen commentaar van Mol als geluid gebruiken. Dan nog liever Germaans commentaar via mijn VPN...
