McLaren bereikt belangrijke mijlpaal met fire-up

Het team van McLaren heeft een belangrijke stap gezet in de voorbereiding op het aanstaande seizoen. De Britse renstal heeft de Mercedes-krachtbron namelijk voor het eerst gestart. McLaren deelt het belangrijke feit met veel trots met de rest van de wereld.

McLaren heeft de motor voor het eerst opgestart en dat is een belangrijk moment in het ontwikkelingsproces. In tegenstelling tot andere teams, deelt McLaren geen beelden van de fire-up zelf. Ze delen een kort fragment waarop te horen is hoe de wagen voor het eerst wordt opgestart. Bij de video deelt het team slechts de tekst 'het leeft'. Nog niet veel teams hebben melding gemaakt van de fire-up, niet iedereen deelt dit immers met de buitenwereld.

      De packaging kan verschillen en zeker de koeling en nog wat elektronische tweeks. Alle fabrikanten brengen veranderingen aan onder het mom van betrouwbaarheid. De structuur en opbouw van de motor blijven zeker hetzelfde maar sees maar zeker dat het een andere specificatie is Trouwens, alle veranderingen moeten eerst worden goed gekeurd door de FIA en indien OK worden ook de andere fabrikanten daarvan in detail op de hoogte gesteld. Dus er kan wel wat veranderen maar het is beperkt. Hier geen enkel beeld te zien zoals norlaal bij een fire up. Enige die ik heb gehoord - een aantal anderen hebben dat al achter de rug ook zonder beeld noch klank ....

      Hagueian@ is dit dan eigenlijk niet meer symbolisch voor de motorafdeling van Benz dan voor Mclaren zelf?

      Ik bedoel, hoe leuk ik Mclaren ook vind... als dat ding niet gestart was, was het gewoon een telefoontje naar Benz ipv zelf hard aan t werk 😜

      Ja het staat traditioneel bekend voor de aftrap van het nieuwe seizoen met een nieuwe auto. Het heeft idd niets met Mclaren zelf te maken. Alleen los van het feit dat het er lullig uitziet als er twee man aan komen lopen met een voorvleugel wil je die voorvleugel ook nog niet prijsgeven. Het is een beetje het tonen van een nieuwe start zonder het tonen van de auto.
