Red Bull steunt Nederlandse De Heus in F1 Academy

Ook Red Bull heeft bekend gemaakt welke coureurs welke coureurs ze gaan steunen in de F1 Academy. In deze speciale klasse voor vrouwelijke coureurs zijn alle Formule 1-teams verplicht om een coureur te steunen. Red Bull gaat een alliantie aan met MP Motorsport en ze kiezen voor drie coureurs, waaronder een Nederlandse.

Red Bull zal aankomend seizoen Emely de Heus, Hamda Al Qubaisi en Amna Al Qubaisi gaan steunen in de F1 Academy. Alle drie de coureurs zullen gaan rijden bij MP Motorsport. Hamda Al Qubaisi is aangesteld als de coureur die zal gaan rijden in de kleuren van Red Bull Racing, terwijl haar zus zal gaan rijden in de kleuren van Visa Cash App RB. De Heus is vermeld als Red Bull-coureur en het is dus ook de verwachting dat ze in de kleuren van de Oostenrijkers zal gaan rijden.

    Hmm ik heb vorig seizoen alle samenvattingen gezien van deze klasse en 'de Heus' was echt vrij traag, heel vaak trager dan haar teamgenoten. Op Barcelona na dan. Is dit dan een gevalletje 'wij moeten ook maar vrouwen gaan steunen' voor het imago van Red Bull?

      Alleen moeten we het niet te spannend of te dramatisch maken.
      Deze meiden worden niet gesteund omdat ze de belofte van de toekomst zijn en loeihard kunnen rijden.
      Als alle teams een beetje helpen dan kan dat openingen bieden tot het moment dat er echt een keer een dame voorbij komt met de snelheid van een toprijder.
      Niemand van de F1 teams beweert dat deze dames iedereen de moeder rijden en dat zij als team vereerd zijn om hen onder contract te nemen. Ze weten allemaal dat het kelderklasse niveau is net zoals bij dames voetbal. Maar als je niet ergens begint wordt het nooit wat. Dus de optie om het geheel een beetje te pushen door de bekendheid van grote raceteams (of voetbalteams) te gebruiken vind ik wel ok en acceptabel.

      Ik heb er ook zeker geen problemen mee. Net als met damesvoetbal is het soms vermakelijk als is het niet van een hoog niveau. Vind het wel apart dat ze meteen een heel team met volledige line-up steunen en niet een individueel coureur. Hamda werd nog 3e in t kampioenschap.

      Ik herinner me dat ik 2 jaar geleden in lelystad een jonge meid van circa 15 alleen op de baan zag in Lelystad... veel te fanatieke vader... race overal en helm met de Heus erop.

      Dit is absoluut niet om stoer te doen maar ze was 1,5 seconde langzamer dan oude Tyla... mocht dit dezelfde meid zijn... dan hoop ik dat ze een stuk sneller is geworden in die 2 jaar...

      Want ik wil mezelf nou niet bepaald goed noemen.
