Haas ziet samenwerking met Ferrari niet als probleem

Het team van Haas heeft vandaag als eerste renstal hun nieuwe wagen gelanceerd. De Amerikaanse renstal hoopt hiermee de weg omhoog in te kunnen zetten. Er wordt gezocht naar problemen om op te kunnen lossen, maar volgens teambaas Ayao Komatsu liggen de problemen niet bij Ferrari.

Haas werkt nauw samen met motorleverancier Ferrari. Ze hebben een afdeling in de thuisstad van Ferrari Maranello, ze maken gebruik van Ferrari-junioren en met Simone Resta werkte er in de afgelopen jaren een belangrijke Ferrari-man bij Haas. Bij het team zijn ze hard op zoek naar verbeterpunten om ervoor te zorgen dat ze aankomend seizoen beter voor de dag kunnen komen.

Kersvers teambaas Ayao Komatsu denkt niet dat de problemen bij de samenwerking met Ferrari liggen. De Japanner geeft wel aan dat er mogelijk naar wordt gekeken. Bij Motorsport.com spreekt hij zich uit: "Ik denk niet dat de relatie met Ferrari momenteel het grote probleem is. Als we een bepaald punt bereiken, zullen we zeker gaan kijken naar wat ons ophoudt. Dan komt die relatie met Ferrari misschien op tafel te liggen. Momenteel is dat voor mij echter niet de zaak waar alle focus op ligt. De relatie met Ferrari is heel goed. De motor die ze leveren is heel competitief."
