'Livery Visa Cash App RB geïnspireerd op oude Toro Rosso-kleuren'

Deze week trekken veel teams het doek van hun nieuwe wagens. Veel ogen zijn gericht op Visa Cash App RB, want de renstal heeft een flinke make-over ondergaan. Toch lijkt het er stevig op dat ze de livery hebben geïnspireerd op een kleurstelling van een aantal jaar geleden.

De Italiaanse zusterrenstal van Red Bull Racing heeft afgelopen winter een metamorfose ondergaan. Vorig jaar stonden ze nog op de grid onder de naam AlphaTauri, maar van dat imago is nu niets meer over. De banden met Red Bull Racing zijn aangetrokken, Laurent Mekies is aan de slag gegaan als nieuwe teambaas en met Visa en Cash App zijn er twee grote nieuwe titelsponsors aangetrokken.

Het is dan ook nog maar de vraag hoe de wagens van Yuki Tsunoda en Daniel Ricciardo er uit gaan zien. Volgens de Italiaanse tak van Motorsport.com heeft het team zich laten inspireren door de livery waarmee Toro Rosso reed in 2017 en 2018. De wagens van het Italiaanse team waren in die jaren overwegend blauw en veel fans waren toen lyrisch over het uiterlijk van de auto's. Volgens het medium zullen de logo's van Visa en Cash App ook duidelijk zichtbaar zijn op de auto's. Vanzelfsprekend zullen er ook Red Bull-logo's aanwezig zijn. Op 8 februari trekt het team het doek van de nieuwe auto.

Het was origineel. Maar het was slechts een schim van de originele en mooie kleurstelling waarin Vettel bijvoorbeeld zijn debuut maakte.
