Promotor Zandvoort ontvangt prestigieuze prijs

Het is geen geheim dat de organisatie van de Nederlandse Grand Prix er goed op staat bij de hoge heren van de Formule 1. De race op het circuit van Zandvoort is enorm populair bij de fans en de coureurs. Dat ze er goed voorstaan werd ook duidelijk op het gala van de Formule 1, waar Zandvoort twee prijzen won.

In Londen werden er tijdens een gala van de Formule 1 de zogenaamde Promotor Awards uitgereikt. Hier bleek dat de race in Zandvoort er goed op stond. Uit de handen van Formule 1-CEO Stefano Domenicali ontving Robert van Overdijk namelijk de prijs voor Promotor van het Jaar. De organisatie van de Dutch Grand Prix won daarnaast ook de duurzaamheidsprijs. Het publiek komt immers met de fiets of het openbaar vervoer en de organisatie doet er alles aan om zo groen mogelijk te opereren.
