Magnussen blij met 'echte' veranderingen bij Haas

Het team van Haas heeft een onrustige winter achter de rug. Na bijna tien jaar vertrok teambaas Günther Steiner en teameigenaar Gene Haas besloot hem te vervangen door Ayao Komatsu. Kevin Magnussen gaat Steiner missen, maar hij is heel erg blij met de doorgevoerde veranderingen.

Steiner speelde een belangrijke rol in de loopbaan van Magnussen. De Italiaanse teambaas haalde Magnussen tot twee keer toe naar Haas en dat zorgde vooral voor mooie prestaties in de tweede periode die in 2022 begon. Magnussen keerde toen enigszins verrassend terug in de sport, nadat Haas Nikita Mazepin de deur had gewezen in de winter. Vorig jaar had Haas een tegenvallend seizoen en Gene Haas besloot het contract van Steiner niet te verlengen.

Ayao Komatsu is sinds een maand de teambaas van Haas en Magnussen is daar enorm blij mee. De Deense coureur hoopt dat dit gaat bijdragen aan een weg omhoog. Hij legt zijn mening uit aan Reuters: "Ik ben echt dol op Günther, ik had in al mijn jaren bij Haas een geweldige tijd met hem, maar het is ook goed om verandering te zien. Dan heb ik het over echte verandering. Ik denk dat het geweldig is dat Ayao al wijst op een aantal olifanten in de kamer, zoals dat ons ontwikkelingsproces niet goed is. Het zijn zeker interessante tijden voor ons bij Haas."

Sorry hoor maar ik vind dat altijd zo'n geleuter dat ''een team niks zou toevoegen''.
Voegde Minardi, Simtek, Manor, Larrousse etc niks toe? Natuurlijk wel! Elk team heeft zijn charme en eigen verhaal. Zonder kleinere teams zijn er geen grote teams in de F1. Als het aan mij ligt staan er straks 2... [Lees verder]

    Financieel moet er geld bij om de budget cap te halen, maar als Haas aan Steiner geen geld wil geven geeft hij dat ook aan Komatsu niet, dus ........geen vooruitgang.

    Als je bekijkt wat dit team heeft toegevoegd aan de F1 (Haas nycks), dan staat de weigering om Andretti in te laten stappen al helemaal als een tang op een varken!

      Helemaal niks toegevoegd, behalve een populaire Team manager.
      Wat ook jammer is dat Andretti zich niet inkoopt bij HAAS, dan kan tie de Cadilllac motor op termijn er in zetten ipv de Ferrari. Had ik best wel een leuke ontwikkeling gevonden met twee winnaars (qua ontwikkeling en budget dan)

Als het aan mij ligt staan er straks 26 auto's op de grid ipv altijd maar een 20 auto monopolie. Ik gruwel er van dat er geen kleinere leuke nieuwe teams meer bij kunnen komen door al die hoge onmogelijke barrières die de organisatie en de huidige F1 teams opleggen aan nieuwkomers. Gruwel gruwel gruwel!

      Haas was er nu eenmaal al voordat die normen zo streng werden. Dus waarom mensen daar steeds over blijven praten?

      En inkopen bij Haas kan niet wanneer die aandelen niet te koop zijn, dat heeft Haas meermaals aangegeven. Hij zou sowieso gek zijn dat nu te doen terwijl de licentie meerdere keren zoveel waard wordt in de nabije toekomst.

    ....Wellicht zou een 'echte' verandering dan ook zijn om Kevin eruit te kieperen want die heeft het in vergelijking met de Hulk erg slechts gedaan...

    money talks en helemaal in F1.

    zolang Haas het chassis niet ontwerpt en bouwt kom je er niet.
    F1 is niet een klasse waar je en chassis besteld en dan de rest er onder gooit.
    het werkt alleen als je alles zelf ontwikkeld of heel goed laat samen werken.

    en zolang Gene niet genoeg met geld laat smijten zal het altijd zo blijven.
    beter casht hij uit en verkoopt hij de hele boel aan Andretti

    In het begin vond ik ze sympathiek. Maar Haas heeft imo niks meer te zoeken in de Formule 1. Ze voegen helemaal niks toe.
