Hockenheimring wil niet tegen elke prijs terugkeren

De Duitse Grand Prix staat al een aantal jaar niet meer op het programma. De race was populair, maar toch werd het contract niet verlengd. De Hockenheimring zou graag willen terugkeren op de kalender, maar de Duitsers willen de race niet tegen elke prijs terughalen.

In 2019 werd er voor het laatst een Duitse Grand Prix verreden. In dat jaar ging de zege op de Hockenheimring naar Max Verstappen. De tribunes zaten tot vol en de race was en spektakelstuk, maar een nieuw contract zat er niet in. Terwijl de sport wereldwijd steeds populairder werd, was het in Duitsland moeilijk om aan genoeg geld te komen. De kans is dan ook zeer klein dat deze Grand Prix snel gaat terugkeren.

Uitverkocht huis

De directeur van de Hockenheimring Jorn Teske is niet van mening dat de huidige koers van de Formule 1 fout is. Teske stelt namelijk dat het voor Duitsland niet de juiste koers is. Bij Auto, Motor und Sport spreekt hij zich uit: "Ik vrees dat een uitverkocht stadion niet mogelijk is als we, zoals in andere landen, de ticketprijzen moeten verhogen. Ik wil alleen waarschuwen dat men spreekt over prijzen van zo'n 300 euro. Het risico is dan gewoon te groot."

Prijs

Teske geeft aan dat het momenteel weer goed gaat met zijn circuit. In de Formule 1-jaren moest men veel risico's nemen, maar inmiddels kunnen ze weer op eigen kracht investeren. De faciliteiten zijn onder handen genomen, ook met het oog op de Formule 1. Teske wil de Grand Prix wel terug, maar hij is realistisch: "Als er economisch niets verandert, dan zou het voor ons zeker makkelijk zijn om te zeggen dat het ons niet interesseert. We zien onszelf echter als een traditioneel en gerenommeerd racecircuit en we zouden de Formule 1 hier graag weer zien, maar niet tegen elke prijs."

  2018 € 289,00 weekendkaart zuid tribune H zone 4. Dat is naast de hoofdtribune rond startplek 10 en uitzicht op het stadion. Volgens mij was het in 2019 nog goedkoper, maar dat kan ik niet terug vinden.
  Höckenheim is altijd goedkoop geweest, heeft gezellige campings en gratis shuttle bussen van en naar het circuit vanaf de camping.
  Wat mij betrefd direct terug op de kalender.

  Dat gaat haast niet meer. Ik weet niet hoeveel plek er is maar als we even uitgaan van 110.000, x 289, dan haal je iets meer dan 31 miljoen binnen. Dat klinkt leuk maar de fee gaat al rap richting 30 miljoen per jaar voor nieuwe contracten.
  
  Met sprintraces krijg je wellicht wat meer bezoekers op vrijdag binnen, al zal Larry dan waarschijnlijk thuis blijven.

Tijdens het kuilen graven op het strand van Zeeland hoorde Jorn Teske de inheemse bevolking steeds zeggen "Ons ben zuunig" en "geen cent te veel". Dat werkt nu nog door...

Ik dacht toch dat er genoeg geld was in Duitsland....ze hebben zo'n 80 jaar geleden toch zat geroofd uit/van de bezette Europese landen.

Grand Prix 4

Zowel in 2018 als 2019 naar de GP geweest. Beide heerlijke wedstrijden met veel verrassende momenten zoals je graag bij een sportevenement zou willen zien.

Prima faciliteiten ook wat mij betreft.

Hoewel ik fan was van de oude baan kan de nieuwe lay-out me goed bekoren, juist omdat er even goed mooie gevechten mogelijk zijn op de baan. Misschien nog wel beter zelfs.

Wat kaartprijs betreft denk ik dat ze bedoelen dat er 300 euro bovenop komt. Wat neer komt op 650 per weekend. Als ik dan mijn zoon zou meenemen, die dat graag wil, is de lol er snel vanaf.

Mis wel dit soort banen en vind het met de straten circuits te veel van hetzelfde worden.
